The Evolution of Life

Earth is, so far, the only planet we know of that supports life, where living beings have evolved to become so numerous and diverse. Humans are part of this biodiversity, sharing our planet with each and every species that lives on it. The diversity of life on Earth is what sustains us. Without it, there would be no food to nourish us and no air to breathe—and perhaps even more importantly, without it, imagination would not exist. We invite you on a great expedition through the different geological eras to discover the evolution of species and to build together the “Line of Life.” In this module, you will not only experience in a concrete way the timing of the most important events, but you will also nourish your imagination through this wonderful story, developing your critical thinking and drawing conclusions about different scientific theories, in order to reflect on what may happen in the future by learning a little more about our past.
